When I visit people’s homes I always have a surreptitious look round to see what they have on their walls. I pretend it’s the artist in me but I suspect I’m just being nosy.
I see lot’s of different things, as many different images as there are houses, but most people have on their walls either a landscape or a seascape.
Why? What unites us? My theory is that it is a basic need to see the outside when we’re stuck indoors, to connect with nature and remind ourselves that it’s still out there waiting for us
