After the Rain is an original Impressionist oil painting by Mary Kemp.

We came home through a cloud burst, as though someone had turned on a tap in the sky. Then it stopped, as suddenly as it had started, and the evening sun came out. Fields were steaming and bathed in a soft gentle light. This is one of the paintings of a small series from that journey. What I have omitted is that we were in our much loved classic car at the time and the roof leaked. We got home soaked to the skin.
