On a recent holiday I came out of the place we were staying and decided to go for a walk but was informed it couldn’t be a walk. It had to be a hike. So that’s what I did.

This original oil painting is a celebration of the imposing hills above the clear waters of the Lake District in Cumbria. A light filled landscape painted in a loose impressionist style.

Painted with oil colour on stretched canvas, with plenty of textured paint, this piece is ready to hang with painted sides, so framing isn’t necessary. Its square format and clear colours make it a compelling focal point on any wall — living room, study or creative space.
