I paint landscapes of places that I love. In my paintings I keep returning with the changing seasons, just to make sure these places haven’t disappeared while I wasn’t looking. I paint in oil, wallowing in the richness and sumptuousness of this gorgeous medium. I want you to know that your special places are still there waiting, even if you looked away.

Early morning in Tom’s garden can feel quite special. You can hear the traffic from afar, but it’s good to know that I don’t have to go to work. I feel peace and anticipation.
