I have visited the Peak District many times. The grass is so green and lush in spring and forms a carpet crisscrossed with dry stone walls. A backdrop of purple hills rises up in the distance.
The painting is painted with vigorous brush strokes with greens and purples and orange and pinks to create a lively and colourful landscape in an impressionistic style.
The painting is strung at the back and the sides painted so it is ready to hang.
