I love the sweep of the hills in Derbyshire. It’s so liberating to be out there and feel the stretch in your legs and the wind against your face. In fact sometimes I find it so wonderful that I forget to draw or take photos so this is why I am so grateful to Suzanne @peaklass on Instagram for a great reference photo. so that I can make my memories that bit more realistic.

I’ve painted this with a generous helping of colour and texture.

MATERIALS : Oil paints (Winsor and Newton, Gamblin, Old Holland and Daler-Rowney) on a very fine canvas.

FRAMING AND HANGING: This painting is unframed but the sides are painted and there are D rings and cord on the back so it is READY TO HANG.
