Red Tulips

There’s two places I’ve seen this magnificent sight, Holland and Lincolnshire in East Anglia. This is Lincolnshire where we were lucky enough to be shown round a bulb packing station and then onto the bulb fields, where the flowers aren’t actually picked but the bulbs are left for the next year to be grown indoors. I wanted to rush into the field and pick a whole bunch!

This miniature painting, painted with artist quality oil paints, was inspired by the almost luminescent glow shining from the damp fields after the rain as we traveled home from a lovely day out.

DIMENSIONS: 6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) painting only.

Unframed, but will fit into a ready made photo frame.. It’s small size makes it very versatile. You’ll find many places in your home for it.

MATERIALS: I've created this little painting with generous brush strokes of oil paint. The painting support is an oil prepared wooden board, a very stable and durable surface to work on.
